East Yankeedom makes up just a small piece of North America, but what countries, cultures, and states does it cover?
1) Yankeedom Across the continent of North America, many cultures, groups, and vast lands can be found together. These groups and terains are devivded into 11 cultural nations including the likes of Yankeedom, The Midlands, New Netherlands, and so on. Yankeedom makes up both the north eastern and the north midwest portions of the United States, plus the addition of the Canadian Maritime.Yankeedom borders three other cultural nations, being New Netherlands, The Midlands and New France. Yankeedom can also be split into both East and West Yankeedom, inorder to narrow down the foccus of regions within the massive nation as seen in Figure 1. 2) East Yankeedom East Yankeedom covers the eastern section of Yankeedom as a whole, which includes northern Ohio and Pennsylvania, most of the State of New York, all of New England, which traditionally is considered to be the staes of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, and lastly the slight addition of the Canadian Maritime. General History and present of East YankeedomBeing one of the oldest cultural nations in north America, it is said that Yankeedom began with the introduction of Puritans, Calvinist English Settlers who sought to form a religious utopia for themselves, landed on the shores of present day Massachusetts.
Radical Calvinist, who had landed in what is now Massachusetts's, formed the nation of "New Zion". The people had believed that it was their duty to form a more perfect society and serve as a beacon of life for humanity. The Yankees, people who are form the northern portion of the United States generally speaking, ended up spreading out into further lands past Massachusetts, forming very communal based societies. Today people who live within Yankeedom tend to enjoy more government regulations, high standers of education, and high amounts of government participation within the United States Government. Also it is important to note, Yankeedom is a much more welcoming nation of foreigners, reflecting it past origin of settlers, which welcomes the likes of many external cultural groups of vast ethic backgrounds, faiths, and cultures, making the nation a heaven for a mixed race society. |
